A show & tell workshop for the self-regulating systems you use when you’re the boss…of you.

When you work for yourself, you develop systems to manage yourself, whether you know it or not.

When you work in a traditional job, your management structure is handled for you—like it or not! That means you know exactly where and when to work, and you have someone who (you hope) is a trained professional managing the process for you. When you leave traditional employment behind, however, all of that goes away.

      So what’s your system?
You might use systems that have names, like the Pomodoro Technique, or Desire Map, or Emergent Task Planner, or you might have invented a system of your own using notebooks, Post-its, and Elmer’s glue. This is an event where you can show off your own system and get inspired by the systems of others.

We’ll have samples for you of a systems we particularly like. You’ll also hear from a few proud folks who’ll show you the systems they’ve developed—and what they still need to refine. Then we’ll break out into small working groups to discuss the ups and downs of our respective approaches and work on making improvements.

Afterwards, we’ll reconvene to share what we’ve learned and answer some burning questions!

      What to bring
-Got materials you use to help manage yourself? Bring them! If you use worksheets or notebooks, have them ready to share!
-Don’t have anything handy? That’s okay! We’ll send out a few links to get you inspired prior to the event. You can also just show up and learn!
-Have pen and paper handy! You may want to take notes or even sketch out a new system!
