David B. Smith will present Gray Area, a temporary environment inviting reflection and relaxation using his colorful fabric sculptures, group breathing exercises, and a performance of pleasantly dissonant, kaleidoscopic sound. Gray Area provides space for participants to take a short break from engagement with media, politics, consumption, and progress so they can recharge and gain perspective at a political time when it seems in short supply.
