Wellness Retreat in Private Forest Cabin
via Surface Magazine
By pairing Leckie Studio and Aruliden‘s sleek design with science-backed well-being rituals and programming, Arcana presents an alluring vision for the post-pandemic getaway.
Just two hours Northwest of Toronto, this hotel experience is truly one of a kind. Exclusive, remote, and recharging. The forest retreat is located directly in a naturally formed forest. Science has proven time spent in nature has a meaningful impact on our wellbeing. And at arcana, they invite you to reconnect with the wonder of the outdoors and the superpowers of nature.
Conceptualized by Vancouver–based Leckie Studio and design agency Aruliden, this forest retreat consists of a series of 275-square-foot mirrored cabins that blend into the landscape. All thanks to its polished stainless steel cladding—with a slightly distorted reflection to prevent collisions with wayward birds. The neutral pine-lined rooms are outfitted with contemporary kitchens, rainfall showers, and custom vinyl turntables loaded with a ‘sounds of arcana’ playlist.
Each 275 sqft cabin comes fully equipped for whatever you might need—including kitchenettes, a mini fridge, stove, and oven ready for any simple meal. Additionally, a full bath, shower, and restroom comes fully equipped with plumbing and hot water. You also come stocked with your own firepit and grill on your very own private deck. But wait, there’s more. A short walk leads to a private sauna overlooking the dense forest retreat surrounding you.
The mission of the property reconnects its guests with nature and offer experiences to elevate your well-being. Expect guided forest bathing, foraging excursions, as well as meditative sound journeys crafted by New York-based Woom Center and The Dojo Upstate.
These spots fill up quick so be sure to plan your wellness retreat well in advance. Book your reservations here.
